HOW IT WORKS

3. Send us your interior and cover PDF files on raries.com/etsy
4. We review and prepare the files for printing.
5. We send you a digital proof for approval.
6. Once approved, we print and bind your book.
7. We complete a quality check.
8. We send photos and/or a video of your completed book.
9. Your order is shipped.

FILE REQUIREMENTS
- PDF is preferred. Image files / Word file / Canva file also works great!
- Other formats acceptable too. We'll reach out if we have any issues using them.

Ideally send:
- Interior PDF
- Cover PDF
- Required finished size
- Any special instructions

If you created your book in Canva, Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign, Affinity Publisher or another programme, export it as a high-quality PDF before sending it.

FIRST TIME PRINTING A BOOK?
- That is completely fine.
- You do not need to understand terms such as bleed, trim, spine width or prepress setup.
- Send us your file and tell us the finished size you want.
- We will review the file, prepare it for production where appropriate and send you a digital proof before printing.

- Large quantities, unusual specifications and complex projects may require additional production time.
- Production time begins after your files and digital proof have been approved.

Yes. You do not need previous printing experience. Send us your PDF and tell us the finished size you want. We review the file, prepare it where required and send you a digital proof before printing.

CAN I ORDER JUST ONE BOOK?
Yes. There is no minimum order quantity.

CAN I ORDER MULTIPLE COPIES?
Yes. You can order one copy, a small quantity or a larger print run. Higher quantities receive better pricing per book.

IS SHIPPING INCLUDED?
Yes. Worldwide shipping is included in the listing price.

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL SHIPPING CHARGES?
No. There is no separate shipping charge.

ARE ALL PAGES PRINTED IN COLOUR?

DO WE PRINT AS-IS OR CONTENT / COLORS CAN CHANGE?
Everything is printed as is. You will be approving digital proof before the book goes into print just to be sure.

WHAT IS HD PRINTING?
HD printing is an optional upgrade designed for books where enhanced reproduction of photographs, illustrations or artwork is important.

DO I NEED HD PRINTING?
Not necessarily. Standard colour printing is suitable for most books. HD printing is recommended for image-heavy books.

DO I NEED TO ADD BLEED TO MY FILE?
No. You do not need to worry about bleed. We take care of the required bleed during file preparation where the supplied artwork allows it.

WHAT MARGINS SHOULD I USE?
You can choose the margins according to your own preference and design. Some customers prefer wider margins and others prefer a more compact layout. We review the file for basic print suitability before production.

DO I NEED CROP MARKS OR TRIM MARKS?
No. They are generally not required unless specifically requested.

DO I NEED TO KNOW THE SPINE WIDTH?
No. Spine width depends on the page count and paper selected. We will place your spine design on the cover spread for you.

WILL I SEE THE BOOK BEFORE YOU PRINT IT?
Yes. We send you a digital proof before production and only print after you approve it.

WILL I SEE THE PHYSICAL BOOK BEFORE IT IS SHIPPED?
Yes. We send photographs and/or a video of the completed book before shipping.

CAN I MAKE CHANGES AFTER RECEIVING THE DIGITAL PROOF?
Yes, before you approve it. Significant redesign, editing, typesetting or file reconstruction may require an additional charge.

WHAT BOOK SIZES CAN YOU PRINT?
Popular sizes include 5 x 8, 5.5 x 8.5, 6 x 9, 7 x 10, 8 x 10, 8.5 x 11, A5, B5 and A4. Custom sizes are also available.

CAN I PRINT A CUSTOM SIZE?

WHAT FORMAT SHOULD I SEND?
PDF is preferred because it provides the most reliable reproduction of fonts, layout and graphics. Other formats are acceptable too.

CAN I SEND A CANVA FILE?
Canva works great! Exporting your Canva design as a high-quality PDF is recommended.

CAN I SEND A MICROSOFT WORD FILE?
A PDF exported from Word is preferred because it helps preserve your layout and fonts, but you can submit MS Word file too, we'll make it work.

DO YOU CHECK SPELLING AND GRAMMAR?
No. Our review focuses on printing and production suitability. Please proofread your content before approving the digital proof.

DO YOU CHECK PAGE ORDER?
We perform a basic review, but you should also carefully check page order when reviewing your digital proof.

CAN YOU PRINT A NOVEL?
Yes. We print novels, memoirs, poetry books, short stories and other text-based books.

CAN YOU PRINT A CHILDREN'S BOOK?
Yes. Children's books can be printed as paperbacks. HD printing may be recommended for illustration-heavy books. We also have a dedicated listing on our Etsy store for Children's book.

CAN YOU PRINT A PHOTO BOOK?
Yes. HD printing is recommended for books containing a large number of photographs.

CAN YOU PRINT A WORKBOOK OR MANUAL?

CAN I PRINT MY SELF-PUBLISHED BOOK?
Yes. You can order proof copies, author copies, advance copies, personal copies or larger quantities.

CAN I PRINT BOOKS TO SELL?
Yes, provided you own or have permission to reproduce the supplied content.

DO I NEED AN ISBN?
No. An ISBN is not required simply to have a book printed.

DO YOU PROVIDE AN ISBN?
ISBN registration is not included in the standard printing service.

HOW LONG DOES PRINTING TAKE?
Most standard orders require approximately 3 to 4 business days after the digital proof has been approved.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH MY FILE?
We contact you before production if we identify an issue that needs clarification or correction.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY BOOK ARRIVES DAMAGED OR HAS A PRINTING DEFECT?
Send clear photographs showing the issue. If the problem resulted from our printing or production process, we will assess it and provide the appropriate resolution.

CAN I RETURN A CUSTOM PRINTED BOOK?
Each book is produced specifically for your order, so returns for change of mind are generally not accepted. Printing defects or shipping damage are handled separately.
